As the successor to the legendary Reference 5513, the Rolex 14060M encapsulates the essence of the original no-date Submariner. This model is renowned for its perfect dial symmetry, function-first design, and unparalleled build quality. The early 14060 models utilized Tritium luminous material, while later versions transitioned to Luminova. A distinctive feature of all 14060 models is the “drilled lugs,” which enhance the watch's vintage appeal and facilitate effortless strap and bracelet changes.
The Reference 14060M represents the culmination of an era in Submariner history. Often regarded as the pinnacle of classic Submariner design, it features the iconic 39mm Oyster case paired with the updated Calibre 3130 movement. This movement set the stage for the subsequent 'Maxi' era watches that followed shortly after the 14060M's release.
A noteworthy aspect of this watch is its Chronometer certification, introduced in 2007. Prior to this change, the dial featured a simple two-liner designation. From 2007 onwards, the introduction of the 4-line text not only indicated the Chronometer certification but also contributed to the rarity of this model, as the 4-liner was produced for just five years.
